Tour Wrap Up

As always at the end of each tour i try and sum up my experiences and put it into words what has been going on. These past few weeks have been truly incredible. This was no ordinary Patent Pending tour for me. I went into it a little bit nervous because i really hadn’t toured in awhile, and i never like to disappoint my friends, but it was like riding a bike. There of course were a ton of twists and turns and ups and downs, but i also made sure no matter what happened i would enjoy every bit of it.

A few days in myself and our merch guy, one of the many other Coreys on this tour, decided we were going to use our down time to explore and adventure wherever we were. This brought out a part of me that I’ve always wanted to let loose. In all my time touring, we have never really had the extra time to see the sights and explore things we would normally never see, so we took full advantage of our free time after load in.

I never thought in a million years i would have gotten to see the things we saw, we made our way on to Notre Dame’s football field (which people who worked there said could never be done) as well as seeing Notre Dame’s other wonderful sights. We ran up the steps that Rocky ran up in Philly. I got in a car with a stranger i met on my plane in Ohio and at the risk of getting murdered, made a friend for life as well as getting a nice tour of the town. I got into a minor league baseball game in Columbus, Ohio before the show, and then got to meet up with some old friends, and made even more new ones (nerds unite). I finally got to the top of the Arch in St. Louis, and then went to a Cardinals game at Busch stadium right after. Myself and Corey found the Driskill Hotel which turned out to be the most haunted hotel in Austin, Texas, and then played free video games in an arcade bar. I ate fried alligator in Houston for the first time ever. I saw the site where JFK was shot, and explored an extremely important place in history. On top of all of that, i got to experience this stuff with my best friends. I owe a whole lot to Patent Pending as well as Bowling for Soup and their crew. I could not have ever asked for better people be surrounded by. I still learn new things from both groups all the time.

My point in this is not to brag about these things, or try and sound cool or whatever, my point is that no matter what you do, or where you go, there is a ton of stuff to see and experience. If you don’t take advantage of that then i feel sorry for you. Adventure truly is out there, and you just have to go for it sometimes. After all these years, i finally realize that simple point. Enjoy everything around you, and don’t be afraid to explore.

Bought my plane ticket for tour with Bowling For Soup, Patent Pending, and Freshman 15 in April as well as my Philly Comic Con ticket in June that myself and Heather will be attending.

Been supporting Warped Tour since 2003. Only year I missed was 2009 when we were on tour with set it off. No stubs for 2008 or 2011 cause I was working on some of those dates.
